Art Basel Miami Beach - Art Galleries 2012

Team Gallery is pleased to announce our participation in the 2012 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach. This marks our eighth appearance at the fair. We will be located in Booth G08.

We are proud to be showing substantial works by many of our gallery artists, most made specifically to be shown at Art Basel Miami Beach. Abstraction and photography, and some works that unite the two, provide the focus of this year’s presentation. Unique Photoshop color gradients by Cory Arcangel will be complemented by a new woodcut on canvas by Cologne-based collaborative Gert & Uwe Tobias and a selection of large-scale photographs by American artist Ryan McGinley.  Our installation will highlight two new sculptures by Ross Knight and the first photograph from a new body of work by Santiago Sierra, which is entitled Veteran of the Wars of Afghanistan and Iraq Facing the Corner. Fluorescent monochrome paintings by Gardar Eide Einarsson, handmade prints by Marc Hundley, 1970s photographs by Sam Samore, and a stage sculpture with salt casts by Banks Violette will round out the presentation.

Curator David Gryn selected six films by Team Gallery artists to be screened at the second edition of Art Video.  On Wednesday December 5th at 9 PM, Art Video will debut Ryan McGinley's video for the Icelandic band Sigur Ros. On Friday the 7th at 10 PM, the latest piece in Pierre Bismuth's ongoing series Following… will, in this case, follow the left hand of Jacques Lacan. Also selected for the program are three short films by Sam Samore and a filmed performance by Muntean/Rosenblum.
