Team Gallery are pleased to present a solo stand by the British artist Dawn Mellor as our entry in the Frieze Art Fair of 2009.
Team have traditionally used this fair as an opportunity to mount specific one-man projects by gallery artists: previous solos have included Jakob Kolding (2008), Gert & Uwe Tobias (2007), and Ryan McGinley (2006).
Dawn Mellor will exhibit a group of recent portraits, all part of her ongoing series entitled Vile Affections. Mellor has exhibited paintings from this series in solo exhibitions at London's Studio Voltaire and at Zurich's Migros Museum fur Gegenwartskunst. A catalogue was published for the latter. Team has shown Vile Affections works at the gallery in New York City and Mellor has shown the work in numerous exhibitions throughout Europe.
Our booth number is F-11. Fair hours are 11am to 7pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 11am to 6pm on Sunday. Tickets are available for purchase online from Frieze. The vernissage will take place on Wednesday from 11am to 9pm.
